PSL: Peshawar Zalmi defeats Quetta Gladiators by 5 wickets

In the second match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 5 wickets after a thrilling contest.

In the match played at National Stadium Karachi, Peshawar Zalmi’s vice-captain Shoaib Malik decided to field first after winning the toss. Batting first, Gladiators played aggressively scored 190 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

Quetta Gladiators openers gave a great start and formed a partnership of 155 runs, opener Ehsan Ali scored 73 runs and Will Smith played his innings of 97 off 59 balls which included 11 fours and 4 sixes.

Pursuing the target, Peshawar Zalmi made an aggressive start, with opener Yasir Khan scoring 30 off 12 balls. Similarly, middle order batsman Hussain Talat scored 52 while captain Shoaib Malik played an unbeaten innings of 48 runs.

Haider Ali scored 19, Tom Cadmore 22 and Rutherford 10 for Peshawar.
