According to details, clash between angry protesters and police of Khoga Khel nation on Pak-Afghan highway in Landi Kotal, bypass road turned into a battlefield.
Aerial firing and pelting of stones injured 6 policemen with sub-inspector and 5 protesters. Injured policemen include Khyber Jamrud District Sub-Inspector Khan Zeb Afridi, Assistant Sub-Inspector Iqbal Afridi, Azghar, Sakhi Gul. While in Landi Kotal protesters, Hakeemullah Torkham Custom Cleareance Agent, Shoaib Shinwari, Nasir Khan Shinwari and two children were also injured in the clash.
Meanwhile, Khyber District Police Officer Wasim Riaz arrives at Landi Kotal Tehsil Compound for talks.
On this occasion Member Provincial Assembly Shafiq Sher Afridi, Additional Assistant Commissioner Ashrafuddin Tehsildar, Saz Muhammad SDPO Khyber, Nawaz Khan DSP Traffic, Malik Mazhar Afridi SHO Jamrud, Malik Akbar Afridi SHO Landikotal Police, Sharif Khan Malaguri were also present.
Jirga will be held with the local leaders of Khoga Khel on the Torkham border with the NLC officials and FBR officials for a peaceful solution.
